Statistician

The statistician position is located in the Directorate for Epidemiology, Division of Hazard & Injury Data Systems, Statistical Support Branch with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).  The Branch is responsible for designing, implementing and operating the various data systems used by the Commission and other Federal agencies to estimate the frequency and severity of injuries as reported by the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS).
 
Qualified candidates would have:
 
- Knowledge of statistical and/or epidemiological methods as demonstrated through training and/or experience. 
 
-Analytical skills to evaluate large data sets, complex statistical surveys, or census data.
 
-Ability to use statistical software packages to produce statistical reports, integrate/link multiple sources of data, create quality control programs and other data processing programs.
