Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology, University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry has an immediate opening for a position of senior software developer directing a software development team that designs and develops user-friendly statistical, mathematical and simulation software tools for multiple biomedical research projects. Candidates are expected to have strong background and experience in developing statistical/mathematical scientific software tools. Preference will be given to the candidate with training and experience in computer science/software engineering and statistics/mathematics or related fields (at least MS degree). Experience and skills in GUI development, C++, and JAVA are essential. An understanding of the use of differential equations for modeling dynamic systems is preferred. Experience with the “R” statistical software system is desirable. Demonstrated evidence of good communication and management skills is essential.
