Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology, University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry has an immediate opening for one or more Postdoctoral Fellow positions. The potential candidates are expected to have strong theoretical and applied background and PhD training in statistics, biostatistics or other related disciplines. Preferred research areas include high-dimensional data clustering, Bayesian statistics, computational statistics, model selection and identification, nonparametric regression methods, state-space models and longitudinal data analysis. Strong computational skills are preferred. The position involves collaborating with immunologists and mathematical modelers to develop statistical methods to identify parameters for models of immune response to viral infection and immunological data analysis. The postdoctoral appointment is one year with possible renewal for more years subject to performance and funding availability.
