Faculty Positions

UCLA Biostatistics is searching for three new faculty with demonstrated excellence in biostatistical research and teaching.  Two positions are for tenure-track assistant professors, one open area and one with expertise in cancer research.  The third position, to be filled immediately, is for a non-tenured assistant professor in HIV/AIDS research.  Higher rank is possible for qualified candidates.

Position 1: A tenure track appointment for someone with expertise in cancer research to support research at UCLA in cancer and to conduct his/her own high quality methodological research.

Position 2: A tenure track open area faculty appointment preferably at the Assistant Professor level to complement research in the department.

Timing:  Interviewing will start in November/December for the tenure track positions.  Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.  Positions begin July 1 2009 or start date can be negotiated.

Position 3: In Residence (non-tenured) for immediate start.
Substantial funding for this position will be coming from the Center for AIDS Research (CFAR). The candidate should have demonstrated collaborative ability in AIDS research, and should have his/her own research agenda in methodology related to AIDS research. One particular area this individual will support is for biobehavioral research in HIV/AIDS.  There will be financial support for teaching as well.
