Director of Biostatistics

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical
Sciences and the Arkansas Children's Hospital Research Institute (ACHRI) seek candidates for the position of Director of Biostatistics at the level of Associate Professor or Full Professor. The Program currently provides
biostatistics and data management support for investigators in the Department of Pediatrics, the Arkansas Children's Hospital, and ACHRI. The Director's position is responsible for the daily oversight and scientific direction of the Biostatistics Program. This individual will supervise the faculty and staff of the of the Program, provide senior-level statistical and study design expertise for the development of grant applications and for ongoing studies, interact with clinical investigators on the design, implementation, and analysis of studies, pursue new opportunities for programmatic growth and research funding, and direct the recruitment of new staff for the program.

Qualified candidates must have a have a Ph.D. in Biostatistics or Statistics, a minimum of seven to ten years experience in clinical research. The successful candidate should have a strong record of collaborative research and peer-reviewed publications, outstanding communications skills, strong and proven experience managing statisticians as well as leadership and team skills, and a professional orientation toward service. Faculty appointment will be at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences department relevant to the candidate's expertise.
