Faculty Positions

The Division of Biostatistics in the Department of Public Health Sciences (PHS) at the Penn State College of Medicine has openings for tenured or tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or Full professor level.  The requirements for these positions are a strong research background, excellent communication skills and an interest in teaching.  Applicants with research interests in cancer, statistical genetics or clinical trials are particularly encouraged to apply, although strong candidates with interests in any areas of clinical or public health research will receive serious consideration.  The successful candidates will collaborate with physicians and scientists in the College of Medicine, conduct independent Biostatistical research, and teach in our Master’s degree program.

PHS is a multi-disciplinary department with three academic Divisions (Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Health Services Research) and currently includes 28 faculty and 60 staff.  The department offers a 2-year MS degree and a 1-year post-baccalaureate certificate.  PHS staff support is exceptional with coverage in administration, grants management, data management, research computing, biostatistics, and project management. Salary is commensurate with experience and start-up packages will be provided.
