IMRB International’s Marketing Sciences is looking for a Statistician.

We’re looking for someone who…

…has a solid academic record, computer proficiency, and an interest in solving difficult problems- especially those involving prediction, causality, classification and segmentation, and market modeling. It isn’t essential that you should have worked on marketing problems before- but it will help if you have some interest in this area.

You need to have post graduate qualifications in statistics, or a Ph D, from a leading school in India or overseas. Some experience, in a business or academic environment, will be useful.

What we expect from you

We want you to provide intellectual leadership in the invention of new research products and methods; to share knowledge with members of the unit and the rest of the company.

It’s possible for us to give you time to pursue any research interests of your own. Working hours can also be adapted to suit your needs.

In time, we would like you to recruit and train a small team of statisticians.

We would strongly encourage you to publish the results of your investigations in scientific and professional journals.

About Marketing Sciences Group, and the people you will work with

Marketing Sciences Group is based in New Delhi. This is a small team- currently about six people- led by Ashutosh Sinha. “Marketing Sciences” is the equivalent of R&D in the world of marketing and research.

Ashutosh has a post graduate degree in Management from IIM, Ahmadabad. He has more than two decades of experience of consumer research in India; and considerable experience in countries in Africa, the Middle East, China, and the Far East.
