Mgr, Statistical Modeling – Loyalty
Understand the key elements of eBay’s Loyalty Marketing and Relationship Marketing businesses, paying particular attention to the objectives and operational details of the entire set of marketing channels and levers.
Collaboratively work on cross-functional business teams – with managers, analysts, and the China Analysis Center. Lead the testing, modeling and optimization of different marketing channels and across different marketing channels. Devise suitable business models and other quantitative models that will deliver clarity of understanding, permit valid inferences, and have functional predictive capability in optimizing performance on a global basis.
Assist in designing and evaluating tests, and employing other advanced data analysis techniques to effectively answer significant business opportunities.
Act as a consulting resource for any required reporting and communication tools that will be published across the company to deliver business inferences that support actionable planning.
Contribute significantly to the work of a dedicated team of managers and analysts who will be responsible for developing and deploying a suite of statistical models for estimation, prediction, and optimization of eBay’s Loyalty and Relationship Marketing businesses.
Job Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years work experience in Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, Financial Engineering, or similar Quantitative Research field is required. Formal knowledge of optimization theory is preferred. Experience and familiarity with web analytics and analysis is required.
Expertise
with at least one of the following statistical analysis applications
is required: SAS, SPSS, or R/S-PLUS. Familiarity with SQL,
Teradata, VBA, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft
Access preferred. Superb project management skill is also preferred.
Candidates
should be familiar with life cycle modeling, differential equations,
stochastic processes, Poisson regression models, two-step models,
Baysian modeling and CART.
Ability
to participate collaboratively in a team tasked to produce complex
analyses on a rigorous schedule. Strong written and verbal
communications skills and the ability to present to large
multi-disciplinary audiences on a regular basis.
High energy and creativity, a clear customer-focus, an entrepreneurial approach, and comprehensive understanding of quantitative methods, together with superb attention to detail.
Ability to provide leadership to a fast growing team, work independently within clear strategic guidelines and drive for efficient actionable results.
4 Years Experience
SAS / SPSS / S-Plus and Experience in Teradata Environment
Masters Degree or Equivalent
