The person will utilize business, problem solving, data mining, and analysis skills to develop key strategic quantitative analysis for US Internet Marketing Affiliate team with primary responsibilities around network quality/fraud detection. Analysis will generally be complex in nature, where large volumes of data are synthesized into actionable recommendations using SQL tools and analysis software (SAS). In addition to delivering new business insights through execution of analytic projects, this role will be responsible for providing ongoing strategic guidance and recommendations to Internet Marketing senior leadership.
Specific areas of analytic focus:
Global Network Quality (Main focus):
Network Quality - Design US and International analytical approach and execute systems to proactively detect issues to minimize risk through statistical/data mining techniques. Heavy emphasis in leveraging large volumes of data and applying advanced statistical modeling to drive actionable decision making
Portfolio Risk Management - Design portfolio management framework and tools to assess health
Affiliate Pricing/Promotion:
Price card - Evaluate, assess and recommendations of price card structure in context to integrated marketing plan
Promotions - Evaluate, assess and recommendations of promotions to stimulate growth and achieve marketing goals
Product:
Experimental Design and Measurement - Create experimental design to measure new product effectiveness
Scoring - Continuous refinement of contextual scoring algorithm to elevate effectiveness and deliver measurable results
Customer Analysis:
Customer Insights - Drive customer studies to improve insight and identify opportunities to better serve our customers
Customer Modeling - Identify and recommend opportunities to develop predictive models to improve decision making capabilities and measurable results
Job Requirements
5+ years of experience in managing highly quantitative analytic projects, ideally at a leading management consulting firm, investment bank or financial services/credit card company. Experience with risk management a plus.
3+ years experience utilizing various statistical techniques in SAS to develop predictive models. Experience with fraud/risk models a plus.- Candidate must possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills as well as demonstrated skills in fact based analysis, including the ability to persuasively present insights and recommendations to senior management.
At least 3+ years experience in SQL and SAS, understanding of data warehouse architecture.
BA/BS in Statistics, Economics, Business or other related field. Strong academic profile with an emphasis on quantitative coursework (e.g., degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Econometrics or Engineering). Masters degree or MBA preferred.
