Faculty Position in Biostatistics & Bioinformatics

 

A faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level is available in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, Duke University Medical Center . The department is an integral component of one of the nation’s foremost medical research enterprises and currently has 44 faculty members collaborating closely with both clinical and basic science investigators. Faculty members divide their time between collaboration and methodological research.

 

 This position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in statistics or biostatistics, excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with medical and basic science investigators, appropriate computing expertise, and the ability to carry out independent methodological research. In addition to the minimum requirements, experience in collaborative medical research would be a major asset. Expertise in one or more of the following areas is also desirable: survival analysis, longitudinal studies, categorical analysis, non-parametric methods, or statistical methods in bioinformatics.
