Computational Scientist

CSIRO is Australia's largest scientific research agency, delivering outcomes of benefit to the Australian economy, society and environment through excellence in science and technology. This is an indefinite (i.e. not a fixed term) position focused on methods for quantifying uncertainty in complex models using massive data sets. The initial area of application is biophysical modeling of marine coastal environments. We are looking for someone with a PhD (or equivalent experience) involving a substantial statistical science component. Experience in contemporary Bayesian modeling will be highly regarded.
