Statistician

The Center for Management of Complex Chronic Care (CMC3) at Edward Hines Jr. Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital (Hines VA) and the Department of Preventive Medicine & Epidemiology of Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine are currently seeking an experienced Statistician. The successful candidate will serve as Director of the Statistics Core of the Hines VA Center for Management of Complex Chronic Care, become an integral member of the Department of Preventive Medicine & Epidemiology graduate degree programs, and work as a professional staff member of the Loyola University Medical Center’s Biostatistics Core. The candidate will contribute to improvement of health-care equity, quality, and outcomes in the VA health system through a rigorous program of collaborative research; evaluation of health-care interventions, innovations, and initiatives using state-of-the-art research methods; and development and application of sophisticated statistical techniques for research of national and regional importance in health-care policy, planning, and practice. In addition to collaborations with diverse faculty, the individual will be directly involved with teaching and mentoring in the Masters of Public Health and Clinical Research Methods Programs, and will oversee coordination of statistical needs of investigators at CMC3. It is the expectation that the individual will be a recognized expert in the field of Statistics. Qualifications include a doctoral degree in Statistics and at least three years of relevant post-doctoral experience in health services/health equity, epidemiologic, and/or quality improvement research. This is a tenure-track position; salary will be based on education and experience.
