BIOSTATISTICIAN
The Center for Statistical Sciences at Brown University has an immediate opening for a Biostatistician. The position offers excellent opportunities for professional growth in a stimulating research environment, collaborating on both local and multi-center clinical studies. Candidates should have a master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Biometry. A Masters degree in epidemiology, applied mathematics or related field may be sufficient if all appropriate statistical coursework has been completed, or a combination of extensive statistical training and experience is evident. Experience with biomedical data analysis is preferred in the area of behavioral medicine and genetics. Working knowledge of major statistical software package (SAS, Stata or S-Plus) and experience in computing in both Windows and a UNIX environment. Familiarity with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Statistical Genetics packages is desirable, but not required. Candidates must exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.
