Clinical Trials
The
Department of Biostatistics
at the Harvard School of Public Health invites applications for a
post-doctoral
research fellow position in cancer clinical trials. The research fellow
will
engage in methodological research and participate in collaborative
research in
cancer. Specific areas may include:
- Longitudinal
methods
- Methods for
subgroup analysis
- Analysis of
high-dimensional genomic (or other biomarker) data
- Design of
clinical biomarker studies
- Other clinical
trial design issues, such as designs for screening new treatment
regimens in
multiple subpopulations
A doctoral degree in
statistics or biostatistics is required.
The ideal candidate will have excellent technical and writing
skills,
knowledge of SAS and R programming languages, and an ability to
collaborate
with colleagues and clinical investigators. The position is supported
by the
Cancer Training Grant and the principal office location and mentorship
will be
in the Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology at the
Dana-Farber
Cancer Institute. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
required. Anticipated start date is
July, 2008.
