COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGY FACULTY POSITION
The Division of Public Health Sciences of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC) invites applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Member (corresponding to Assistant or Associate Professor).
This faculty position will be in the Program in Computational Biology within the Division. The successful candidate will enter an active and dynamic research environment with many opportunities to collaborate with scientists across a diverse range of disciplines. We are seeking outstanding candidates with a strong research record using computational methods to investigate biological mechanisms. Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in a significant biological problem. A non-exhaustive list of possible research areas is: bioinformatics, infectious diseases, statistical genetics, image analysis, machine learning, systems biology, methods for massively high throughput sequencing, proteomics, population genetics, network modeling, statistical computing.
An affiliate appointment at the Assistant or Associate professor level in a relevant department at the University of Washington is possible, depending on mutual interest.
Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent degree. Faculty rank will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
