Position in Biostatistics
The Department of Biostatistics and
Bioinformatics, Duke University Medical Center, is seeking energetic
and
creative candidates with Ph.D. in Statistics/Biostatistics or related
filed
for a two year postdoctoral position. The successful applicant will
work
on cancer-related methodological research in the Duke Comprehensive
Cancer
Center and in the statistical center of the Cancer and Leukemia Group B
(CALGB), a national multi-center cancer clinical trials cooperative
group
whose statistical center is at Duke. Potential research areas include
(but
are not limited to) statistical methods for development and validation
of diagnostic biomarkers. Expertise in semiparaemtric inference,
missing
data methods, categorical analysis, survival analysis and experience
with
high-dimensional data analysis is desirable. Potential for interaction
with multiple faculty members within Duke Biostatistics &
Bioinformatics
is possible. Salary will follow NIH guidelines and depend on
qualifications.
