| Abstract: | This talk addresses three important issues for a stratified comparative trial with a binary endpoint. First, how to define the overall treatment effect parameter. Second, how to (and how not to) test for a treatment by stratum interaction (TxS). Finally, when, why and how the outcome of the TxS test may influence the weights assigned to each stratum for estimating the overall treatment effect. Numerical examples are provided to reinforce the key points. |
