Position Title: Biostatistician

Duties and Responsibilities: Under the guidance of a faculty statistician, the incumbent will develop statistical reports and engage in research consultation with Institute scientists and researchers. They will manage a number of ongoing consultations and be responsible for drafting the methods and statistical sections of manuscripts in addition to the conduct of simple and complex statistical analyses including in particular, mixed model regression and survival analysis. Duties will include the supervision of trainees and the development and maintenance of research databases. The incumbent is expected to make presentation of results at local and national meetings.

This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.

Position Qualifications: Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Biometry or a related field. The preferred candidate will have a Master’s in Statistics or Biostatistics and 3 years work experience in a statistical analysis position. The preferred candidate will also have SAS programming experience and experience working on design and analysis of clinical trials.

Salary Range: 50,000 – 60,000
