Postdoctoral Fellow in Biostatistics

Company Information: The Division of Biostatistics was established in 2003 and currently includes over 20 doctoral and masters level statisticians. Biostatistics faculty receive grants from the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Centers for Disease Controls, and other federal funding agencies to conduct methodological research in clinical trials, epidemiology, experimental design, survival analysis, diagnostic test evaluation, imaging studies, and statistical genetics and genomics. Other areas of interest include missing data methods, casual inference, and comparative effectiveness research.

Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Biostatistics

Duties and Responsibilities: This position will offer opportunities to apply and develop statistical methods for the analysis of high-dimensional genetic, metabolomic, and microbiome data. The position will also involve collaborating on research projects in cancer and cardiovascular disease.

The postdoc will work with Dr. Tao Wang in the Biostatistic division. The successful candidate is expected to conduct independent methodological research including writing peer-reviewed publications for statistical journals, giving presentations at professional conferences.

Position Qualifications: PhD degree in biostatistics, statistics, or related quantitative field. The following skills are desirable: excellent programming skills in R and optionally Python; and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Salary Range: Depends on research experiences
