Position Title: Lab Instructor in Psychology and Statistical & Data Sciences

Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Psychology and the Program in Statistical & Data Sciences at Smith College invites applications for a non-tenure-track position at the rank of Lab Instructor, to begin July 1, 2018. Candidates should have a strong foundation in statistical reasoning and computing. This position will be responsible for teaching labs for the introductory statistics courses in both departments. Lab responsibilities will vary but will include instruction in statistical computing conducted in R and/or SPSS. Other teaching opportunities may arise depending upon the candidate’s interest and ability.

Position Qualifications: A Master’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required by the time of appointment. Candidates from groups underrepresented in Science, Engineering, Technology, and Math (STEM) are encouraged to apply.
