Position Title: Research Statistical Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has an open position for a Research Statistical Analyst to work in computational statistics and statistical modeling with applications in bioinformatics. The primary function will be performing statistical analyses of high throughput genomic and proteomics data.

Position Qualifications: We seek a highly motivated individual with a M.S. or Ph.D. in
statistics/biostatistics/computer science or a related quantitative field. Candidates must have strong methodology training in statistics/biostatistics and strong programming skills, in particular R in addition to analysis experience. Experience and skills with large data sets, particularly in high dimensional “omics” data are desirable.
