Company Information: The Department of Statistics at Southern Methodist University invites applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor appointment beginning August 2018.

Position Title: Assistant Professor (tenure track)

Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate must demonstrate the potential to develop an a agenda of independent and collaborative research, and to attract extra-mural funding. The position will teach the usually course load for an assistant professor.

Position Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, or related discipline at the time of the appointment. Evidence of excellence in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels is highly favorable. Applicants with a background in time series, statistical learning and data mining, or experimental design will be given special attention.

Salary Range: Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualification.
