Research interests of current Biostatistics faculty include GWAS, statistical genetics, pharmacogenomics, public health bioinformatics, survival analysis, causal inference, high-dimensional data analysis, biomedical informatics, risk prediction for chronic diseases, and applied statistics for population health and social and behavioral health sciences. Other faculty in the Zilber School are involved in research that spans life-course analyses, maternal and child health, epigenetics, developmental neurobiology and immunotoxicology, environmental toxicology, social and environmental epidemiology, health systems research, immigrant health, and socioeconomic health policies.

Position Title: Visiting Assistant Professor – Biostatistics

Duties and Responsibilities: The Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, invites applications for a non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor position in Biostatistics that will begin on August 20, 2018. The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate-level Biostatistics courses; mentor graduate students; and develop or expand their own research program. This appointment is a 9-month position with a two-year contract and a competitive salary and benefits package.

Position Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Doctoral degree or equivalent in Biostatistics or related disciplines by August 20, 2018.

Preferred Qualifications: (1) On-going research in Biostatistics. (2) Proven ability/strong potential to teach graduate-level Biostatistics courses and mentor graduate students. (3) Research interests in one or both areas of Clinical Trials and Bayesian Statistics. (4) Teaching interests in one or both areas of Clinical Trials and Bayesian Statistics.
