Company Information: The Division of Biostatistics consists of 11 full-time faculty members who are engaged in funded methodological and interdisciplinary research as well as teaching graduate and undergraduate students. Faculty collaborate with researchers from various colleges, centers and institutes, including the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Dentistry, James Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Mathematical Biosciences Institute and the Institute for Population Research. Significant research interaction exists between the Division faculty and researchers from the Department of Biomedical Informatics and the Center for Biostatistics at Ohio State, and from Nationwide Children’s Hospital located in downtown Columbus. The faculty co-administers and participates in an Interdisciplinary PhD program in Biostatistics with the Department of Statistics, which currently has about 25 students. The Division also administers the MS and MPH programs that specialize in Biostatistics and participates in the teaching of applied Biostatistics courses to various graduate programs offered by the College and the new, rapidly growing BS program in public health. Position Title: Biostatistics Faculty

Duties and Responsibilities: Rank: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Full Professor
The Ohio State University College of Public Health is searching for a tenure track/tenured faculty member at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full-Professor in the Division of Biostatistics.

We seek an outstanding individual with an excellent research and teaching record. All research areas will be considered. Areas of greatest need to the division include but are not limited to: quantitative methods for observational studies, causal inference, spatial-temporal modeling, machine learning, network analysis, missing data, image analysis, and survey sampling. Candidates are expected to collaborate with existing faculty and to develop their own program of funded research that aligns with the university’s strategic initiatives. High quality teaching and student advising are also expected. Candidates will provide service and administration to the Division, College, University, and community.

Position Qualifications: Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. or other doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or related discipline by the start of employment. For appointment to a tenured position, applicants must have a strong record of peer-reviewed publications and teaching excellence. Rank and salary will be determined by the candidate’s credentials. Appointment is contingent on the university’s verification of credentials and other information required by law and/or university policies, including but not limited to a criminal background check.
