Position Title: Biostatistician III

Duties and Responsibilities: The Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research within Seattle Children’s Research Institute is conducting early phase clinical trials of immunotherapy including T-cell therapy for leukemia and neuroblastoma. Seattle Children’s Research Institute is seeking a statistician to support its continuing efforts to bring innovative cures to more children through cutting edge immunotherapy clinical trials. The successful candidate will join a data coordination team including clinical data management, statistical programming, and PhD-level mentorship. With PhD-level supervision, the successful candidate will work independently with clinical researchers in all aspects of clinical trials. This may include: meeting with clinical investigators, participating in protocol development, designing early phase clinical trials, assisting with grant preparation, serving as a statistical lead for data safety monitoring board reporting, supporting and overseeing statistical analyses of data and data transfers, and reporting and writing results for eventual publication. The successful candidate will have demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to clearly convey complicated statistical concepts to non-statisticians, strong writing skills, and ability to work independently and with a diverse group of people. Proficiency with SAS statistical software is required. Industry and cancer clinical trials experience are highly desirable. Position Qualifications: Required Education/Experience: – Master’s Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health or related field. – Minimum of five (5) years related experience, or PhD in Statistics or Biostatistics with three (3) years related experience. – Clinical study related experience. Preferred: – Statistical Project Management experience.
