The Biostatistics Unit is comprised of 6 PhD biostatistician investigators, 7 MS biostatisticians, and 3 biostatistics graduate students. Position Title: Collaborative Biostatistician Position

Duties and Responsibilities: The Biostatistics Unit at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI) is seeking an entry-, mid- or senior-level MS or PhD biostatistician interested in applying modern statistical methods to data from both observational studies and clinical trials in an interdisciplinary academic research environment. Using electronic health data from health care delivery systems, the position will involve collaboration with investigators across areas such as cancer prevention, pharmacoepidemiology, immunizations, behavioral medicine, women's health, health informatics, mental health, and aging. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to support biostatistical methods research to improve the conduct of pragmatic trials and complex observational studies. Position Qualifications: Applicants must have an MS or PhD in Biostatistics or Statistics. Excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration are required. Experience with statistical consultation, regression models, correlated data, survival analysis, clinical trial and/or missing data is preferred. Expertise with SAS, Stata or R is desirable.
