Company Information: The ISU IMSE department has a history of excellence in advanced manufacturing, classical engineering statistics (including reliability, experimental design and analysis, statistical metrology, and process control), operations research and analytics, human factors and ergonomics, systems engineering and engineering management. Position Title: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor

Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (IMSE) at Iowa State University invites nominations and applications for a faculty position in the broad area of industrial and manufacturing systems engineering. Candidates with expertise in Engineering Statistics/Data Science, Advanced Manufacturing, or Complex Systems Engineering are preferred and being considered at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor to begin in August 2018. Candidates will be expected to develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses, establish and sustain strong research programs in their area of expertise, act as adviser to graduate students and undergraduate student research, and provide service to the department, college, and university.

Position Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field by the appointment start date is required. (Statistics is a closely related field.) Experience and/or demonstrated interest in engineering applications is required. Theoretical background adequate to support development of sound new statistical methodology is required for appointment in Engineering Statistics/Data Science.
