Assistant Professor of Statistics and Director
St. Cloud State University

Position Title: Assistant Professor of Statistics and Director of the Statistical Consulting and Research Center, fixed-term (one year) position (contingent upon budget and available funds)

Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate’s primary assignment (75%) will be to teach introductory courses in statistics. In addition, as Director of the Statistical Consulting and Research Center (25%), the successful candidate will oversee the center’s work in providing statistical expertise for students, faculty, and external clients. The successful candidate will also serve on department committees and be professionally active. Appointment date is August 15, 2017. Department information is available at:

Position Qualifications: Required:
• Master’s Degree in Statistics
• Evidence of effective teaching with modern statistics education methods
• Evidence of excellent communication skills
• Statistical consulting experience
• Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds

• Ph.D. in Statistics
• Experience running a statistical consulting center

Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
