Faculty members of the department discover, implement, and disseminate novel methods in the three disciplines.

Position Title: Post-doctoral Researcher

Duties and Responsibilities: The position will involve methodological and applied statistical research for the analysis of neuroimaging data. Emphasis will be on using fMRI, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and psychophysiology data to investigate biomarkers of affective disorders and emotion processing/regulation relevant to generating novel brain-based treatments in neuropsychiatry. The candidate will be a member of both the Penn Statistical Imaging and Visualization Endeavor (PennSIVE) lab and the Center for Neuromodulation in Depression and Stress (CNDS).

Position Qualifications: A PhD in Statistics or Biostatistics is preferred. PhDs in Computer Science, Cognitive Neuroscience, Bioengineering, Psychology, or a related field will be considered if there is evidence of a solid foundation in statistical theory and methodology. Candidates should have strong programming skills, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently and with collaborators. The position requires U.S. citizenship or a green card.
