Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellow
Duties and Responsibilities: Applications are invited for candidates with a Ph.D. in biostatistics, statistics, or a related quantitative field for a two or three-year Postdoctoral Research Fellow position within the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics, Perelman School of Medicine, at the University of Pennsylvania. This position primarily involves developing novel statistical methods in longitudinal data analysis motivated by Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and other related neurodegenerative diseases. There will also be opportunities to do collaborative research in Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease, which are major public health issues. Dr. Sharon Xie will supervise the successful candidate through her R01 statistical method grant and biostatistics core grant of the Penn Alzheimer’s disease center. Publications in top statistical and clinical journals are expected.
Position Qualifications: Required qualifications: Doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, or a related quantitative field. Strong methodological and theoretical training in statistics. Excellent communication skills (written and oral). Preferred qualifications: Experience in longitudinal methods or related fields is preferred, but not required.
