KENNETH AND JANET KEENE FELLOWSHIP IN THE MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES

and Janet Keene with Ron Randles

Kenneth and Janet Keene of New York City created an endowed fellowship for graduate study in the mathematical sciences to be shared by the Departments of Mathematics and Statistics. A Florida native, Kenneth Keene graduated from UF in 1947 with a major in mathematics. He earned his M.A. in actuarial science from the University of Michigan. He retired as senior vice president and principal in the New York firm of Johnson and Higgins. Janet Keene is an employee of American Airlines. The Keenes have been major supporters of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
