Statistics Graduate Student Computer Lab

The University of Florida's Statistics Department has it's own computer lab for graduate students. Therefore, graduate students in Statistics don't have to share computers with the rest of the University. The computer lab is conveniently located on the second floor of Griffin-Floyd Hall, where the Statistics department and graduate student offices are located. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are Unix workstations and PCs with Windows connected to a laser printer. Every year prior to the Fall semester, a tutorial is given to help incoming graduate students learn the computing system. Plenty of reference books and manuals, for the software provided, are kept on hand in the lab to help the student. For graduate students with their own computer and modem, the computer system is easily accessible from home.
