Announcements: Date 02/28: The lowest quiz grade of the semester will be dropped in the calculation of the final grade. Date 02/22: Next two HW assignments have been posted for 03/11 and 03/15. Please make a copy of the assignment for 03/15 as it may not be handed back before Exam 2 on 03/20. Date 02/20: There will be a quiz on Feb 25th based on questions from Exam 1 (except question 1). The appendix to the exam is provided. The exam itself will not. Exam 1 class grades (rescaled by raw score/0.95) are available here for you to explore. Date 02/19: No class Friday March 1st 2013. Office hours for February 26th have been changed to Thursday February 28th 16:00-17:00. Date 02/14: Practice/Sample Exam 1 Solutions Date 02/14: EXAM 2 and 3 Exam 2 will be scheduled for March 20th in class and Exam 3 on May 1st at 17:30 (5:30pm) according to the official exam schedule. Date 02/13: EXAM INFO To clarify, Exam 1 is in class on Friday Feb 15th. You are allowed: 1 formula sheet 1 calculator Students who wish may begin the exam 10 minutes early at 8:20am The exam covers all the material up to and including negative binomial models of chapter 3. NB models are the same as Poisson regression models with the exception that they account for overdispersion. The exam consists of "free answer questions" and about 10 true or false questions (not yet finalized). As soon as HW 3 is ready I will notify you where and when you can pick it up. Date 02/11: Practice/Sample Exam 1 questions (IGNORE 8 (e)-(g)) have been posted for you to practise with. Solutions will be posted Thursday evening Feb 14th at 5pm. These are just practice questions and do not reflect on the layout or type of questions that will be on the exam. |
