Date 11/07: Viewing of the exams will be available in the instructor's office FLO 116B on 11/07 3pm-5pm, on 11/08 4pm-5pm, and during regular instructor's office hours throughout the semester. Date 10/22: Practice 2 questions have been posted for Exam 2 on NOVEMBER 5th. We will go over some (not all) of the questions in class on November 2nd, so make sure you come prepared. If you have a question be prepared to come to the board to solve it infront of the class. As such, there will not be enough time to go over all the questions so pick wisely. Date 10/02: Grading curve for Exam 1, the score you see on Sakai, is 0.82(raw score)+18. This shrinks the data towards the center (smaller standard deviation, recall V(aX)=a^2 V(X)) and then shift the whole density so that the max score is still 100. The raw score was calculated using 100 minus 5 points for each wrong answer. Date 09/28: Exams will be available for viewing throughout the semester. Rules for viewing scantron: There must be only 4 students in the office at a time and no bags/pencils/pens/erasers are allowed (for obvious reasons) Date 09/17: Practice 1 questions have been posted. |
